haish... its barely a week of attachment and i already feel like quitting.
wat-the-fuck is wrong with the lecturers huuuh?
yes i noe i must feel grateful for getting a company to be attached to (considering my boderline-ish gpa), but a "health distribution centre"??...ouh common!
it has got nothing to do with what we learnt during all those hogging moments in school. i took tests, exams and pain stakingly sat trough boring lectures just to be given a company that doesnt reinforce what we learnt. and i repeat. wat-the-fuck. (and if u guys cant take my foul language just click the X button on the right. goodbye)
eg: of what i've done so far.
1. Filing
2. Filing
3. Scanning
4. Photocopying
5. Filing
furthermore, it seems like it doesnt matter how good your gpa is, it looks like luck played apart in this situation. why i say this? coz even the 3 pointers are attached to this company. so what gives?
watever.

log starts 9.51pm
tuesday night. nothing much happened today. pretty boring actually, we (as in the nyp people so fortunately attached to wyeth) had to undergo newbie orientation program. what's with life and long boring lectures?
basic stuff. ouh, forgot to mention that everything is pretty tight there. i'm scared to even share what was on the orientation program. there was gmp, security and stuff.
nothing much other than that actually. o yeah, there were the SOPs. guess if i'm going to make it in the pharma industry GMP has to be a part of my life.
big day tomorrow. scl's kick-off 2006 kicking off at 3.30 @ the fields in NYP. gawd i miss playing field soccer. to prove it, i've only worn my total903HG for like 5 times. but stamina's been at an all time low recently. been getting abdominal cramps and stuff during limbang last saturday. the new streetsoccer shoes my cupcake so sweetly bought for me gave me a blister on the left archilles. o well, its nothing compared to shit this former rugger faced.
so there's going to be two changes to our lineup. kenji and ken aren't venturing this time round. they will be sorely missed. in their place is faris and the new keeper guy. still haven't meet him yet. hope he's got balls.
well, won't matter. nothing gets done in a team without teamwork. we ooze teamwork. everyone sticks to their job, and does abit extra everytime. our medals from the last competition are proof of that.
soccer stuff aside, and back to wyeth. guess every1's doing their own thing in their own companies. miss every1 alot. maybe except that proud fuck. today isn't a day to get mad over anything. mental preparation for the games ahead = more important.
o yeah, i just have to show off my laptop accessories and connections. laptop headphone jack connected to my panasonic hi-fi auxillary. this baby has amazing sound quality. listening to anti-flag booming now. its also connected to my living room big screen tv thing. watching my laptop movies is a most enjoyable experience nowadays.
almost finished reading the second douglas adam's book. restaurant at the end of the universe. the author dishes out sarcasms like McSpicy's at mac. they're plentiful and pretty full of substance, each and everyone of them.
what's left? o yeah. anti-flag's new shit. For Blodd and Empire. these guys are stic to their roots like they matter the most. its as if its their core value. its commitment and maybe "loyalty" to themselves that really gets us pumped up to do something. they get me pumped to strive for everything too.
ok. enough for tonite. time for some shout outs. congrats go out to a very good friend of mine. long time no see and stuff. so still qualified as good friend or not? leave it to her to decide. hehes. congrats harny and to the lucky guy. wish both of you best of luck for everything you do. and errm. anything thats needs my help? don't even think of hesitating.
k. joe emo. obviously he thought we were taking half day off tml. LOL.
signing out.

talking to selvam on msn. long time no chat sia. he begged me to put his name here somewhere, so what better place to put it than my opening statement.
scl's premiere sporting event, the scl kick-off 2006 is drawing near. wednesday is the event but unfortunately, it also coincides with the 3rd day of my industrial attachment project. i'm attached to wyeth assisting the microbiologists in the lab.
went for checkup just now and a small briefing too. we were going to get our security passes made. every door in there needs the pass. reminds me of metal gear solid. wonder if they have different level access cards for high security doors. but why have high security doors when all you do is formula s-26? baby nutritionals might not be the subject of tactical espionage but hey, its just me talking out loud. (would be really fun actually to grab those passes from pesky guards). the short briefing session served as a generous appetizer as to what would come in the following 4 months i'll be spending with the nutrional specialists.
for starters, some strict guidelines were made very clear by our deputy training manager (mr ong was in a meeting); only black ink is to be used, no jeans, no liquid paper. and there i was thinking of whether i should bring my digicam to take some nice glamour shots of the big ass plant, maybe some horny poses in the plant's uniform.
after a freaking long waiting queue in the clinic for our bloodwork and typhoid jab, (we were told we could get slightly feverish) we went for lunch (party included lvl 64 mage zai, lvl 60 warrior fazli, lvl 40 archer alfian and a seriously hungry lvl 50 dwarven warrior benji) at banquet eventhough benji only managed to smuggle some bread from his house. told us his dad hasn't finish cooking when he left the house. poor guy, he lives in hougang and has to travel almost the physical width of singapore just to get to wyeth for work everyday. thank god for the company busses.
the cptc certificate presentation filled me with lots of laughter and precious memories of the time spent doing relevant chemical plant training. some stuff that stand are like the countless injuries ammar sustained during a supervised training session. dennis's assumption of that romeo and juliet are cousins. lol. i just have to lol. alex's demand of me and hafiz to stayback on last day to clean up plant because of horseplay. well screw that. and of course the basketball drama. be it hafiz's new (ger)fren or that tp fucker who messed with delon abt his fone, cptc is just unique. its a cptc experience.
supposed to watch bleach 81 now. just keep getting distracted by exclassmate. while in the background leeching off the tournament info from him.
ok. guess thats it for tonite. my thighs are hurting from resting these arms on them . still have two episodes of lost (season 2 finale! it better be fucking interesting)
signing off.
AFI has new shit. Decemberunderground. yum yum. cya.
done.

okay i've never stayed up the whole night for a full 12 hours before other than in chalets. but u cant possibly compare being in a chalet and being in CPTC right. i mean you have to practically do your plant patrol/be on standby & comission stuffs @ 3 in the morning. Felt so weak the next morning sia. just couldn't wait to reach home. slept in the train but luckily moi woke up at Marsiling. muahahha! heng sia =D
anyways today was the last day of shift work and we had troubleshooting. the trainers made trouble at the plant and wants us to find what the problem is and rectify it. kinda stressing at times when you have a bitchy trainer screaming down your neck. so early in the morning and she's already raising her voice. boohoo. good for her for having loud vocals. use it somewhere else pls.
since it was the last day of shift, and eventhough it was troubleshooting day, we still manage to have some fun. ordered MacDonalds, sort of ate as a class, all craping together, making new friends with the other classes like B1 and stuffs. And we took pics with Mr Alex! will post it up soon. it all depends on Alfian. YES IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU YAN ( u feel presurrized now? =D)
okays i finally got to noe the company i'm getting. will be working in the lab. am the only person going there out of NYP. its PlasChem Pte Ltd. its good enough for me!

alright, its 11.40 monday night. can't seem to get started on my logbook. feel realleh realleh sian on doing logbook. can't blame me, last time i put real effort in doing it, i just managed a C+. thinking more about it, i guess dennis (my trainer @ cptc) has no choice really over it. he has to moderate us. well, 2 B+ and 2 C+ give me an average of about a B? well, i'm not really confident on another B+ as i have no idea what to write on this week.
miss chian called me at around 4pm. miss chian or mrs chian was our process instrumentation lecturer. gawd i miss that subject. apparently she's in-charge of me and fazly for our industrial attachment project.
there was some kind of drama ever since i found out i got a pharmaceutical company and a big one too, Wyeth Singapore. if you're good enough, maybe your parents would've bought you baby milk powder from this company. apparently, i was getting attached to a big pharmaceutical company with my lousy ass grades. then i got hold of information that there was a web designer position station placed in the attachement posting. then my heart sank. i rememebered i had placed a "Basic knowledge of HTML in my resume" lucky me. =/
the reason i'm whining is exactly this: web designer? pharmaceutical technology? was there even a remote chance of these two being related? confusion struck. talked things over with ayangs. she told me not to give up and sure enough, i almost did. so it really came as a surprise when miss chian called me to attend a medical checkup for wyeth. this was my chance. i had to ask for a transfer cause there was no way i'm going to slug out my html codings while my other peers are getting valuable working experience in their own respective companies.
she went on to tell me that the checkup is on wednesday morning and i had to abstain from solid food the night before. then i told her that my last shift was on tuesday night. it would be quite impossible to work a 12 hour shift only on water. eventhough it was just a startup/shutdown shift in cptc. then she said that the checkup would be held on friday instead, 8.30 in the morning at the company's address; 3 tuas ave 4. thank god for living in the west.
then i went to inquire about the web designer post. i told her about how unfair it was for me if i got the post and how i would instead be grateful for a final year project post in nyp instead (this was just 9-5pm everyday in school reasearching on a particular topic) eventhrough the project i have more control over my grades that way. felt that it would be reallly unfair if i was graded on my "website" instead cause honestly, i have shit for skills in HTML. i barely made this blog myself.
then, she said i was lucky to be posted to a big company such as wyeth and the experience there would be invaluable as a microlab tech. relieved. miss chian changed close to three days of anxiety in just a sentence. barely ten seconds. okay fine, i'll stop exaggerating.
...............
twenty minutes and there's still no connection for msn. not sure what i would do when it gets connected eventually too. hehes. ever get that feeling? u need to get connected but when u do, u don't know what to do? not as if there's anybody really active at this time. maybe joe, last night's shift was not quite what i expected it to be. a few rounds of win lose or draw and listening to the previous groups's troubleshooting through the radio pumped me up. when sunrise came however, it left me high and dry. so i think i wrote this entry long enough to be interesting. any longer and i'd just leave readers sleeping on their computer tables. goodnite and pardon my punctuations. =)
btw, the new rise against rocks. wayy better that their last crap. Rise Against
